Description
BackStop® 10-Gallon Thermal Expansion Tank (Model: 12-A110)
Product Overview
The BackStop® A Series (Non-ASME) thermal expansion tanks are fixed-diaphragm, pre-charged devices designed to protect potable water systems. They safely absorb expansion forces and control the excessive pressure generated inside water heaters.
By utilizing a sealed, compressible air cushion space to temporarily hold the expanded water volume, these tanks prevent the damaging effects of thermal expansion and system waterlogging. Water is entirely contained within a heavy-duty diaphragm paired with a polypropylene liner, preventing tank corrosion.
